The shirt is the essential element if you want to adopt a neat look. However, wearing a shirt is quite an art. Indeed, it is not enough to wear it to have “THE” look. So, how do you wear a men’s shirt? From the cut to the type of fabric, including the type of collar: these are many points that must be taken into account in order to be able to wear a men’s shirt.
Choose the shirt that best suits you
As we mentioned above, there are different types of shirts. In this sense, not all shirts can necessarily enhance you. You must therefore choose the appropriate shirt according to your body type. If you have a certain build or are fairly slim, the straight fit shirt is the one for you. Just be careful to choose the right size. The shirt should fit your bust perfectly.
On the other hand, the slim fit or very fitted cut shirt offers a dynamic look to the silhouette. Usually, men between the ages of 18 and 35 wear it. However, it’s all about style. You can be 50 or 60 and wear a slim fit shirt well. Note, however, that this shirt cut greatly emphasizes the contours of the bust. It is therefore more suitable for men with a V-shaped upper body and who do not have too strong a build.
Choose the shirt according to its collar
Always choose a shirt with a stiff collar. Those with the small rigid tabs on the inside of the collar are the best. There are mainly two types of shirt collar: the Italian collar and the French collar. As for the French collar, it combines the elegant look and the casual look. Shirts with this type of collar are more suitable for young men as they give a dynamic look.
The Italian collar shirt is generally worn for formal events. It can also be worn with the must for a formal event: tie and suit. So, if you have to attend a big party, wedding or related events, the Italian collar shirt will be ideal. It should also be noted that the Italian collar is more suitable for men with a long neck.
What color of shirt to choose?
We all know it: white is the classic and go-to color when it comes to a shirt. That doesn’t mean you’re going to fill your wardrobe with white shirts, either. In this case, you might not always wear ties. However, it is an essential element to bring out a particular style. To choose the right colors for these shirts, you have to know how to take risks.
Light-colored shirts (light blue, for example) will be preferred as they are always trendy. In addition, patterned shirts can also be interesting. Be careful, however, not to overdo it. Prefer shirts with fairly discreet patterns: shirts with fine stripes can emphasize an elegant look. Of course, it will also depend on the occasion for which you wear it.
