The mystery behind the ancient underwater kingdom in Turkey
P. Hulin is a reputable scholar who was keen to solve the mystery. To get his answers, he decided to examine all the objects found along the lake. He gave more importance to objects which bore an ancient inscription, and particularly the writings which spoke of the Urartian king, Rusa. He also paid attention to a certain wall that plunges into Lake Van. The wall had inscriptions on it that discussed an ancient king named « Rusa » and his interactions with a god named « Haldi. »
Hulin was hoping that these inscriptions would shed more light about the origin of the castle. But there was one major challenge. The ancient writings had been exposed to the elements of the environment for more than 3,000 years. Most of the writings were ineligible, but he was not about to give up. In fact, the difficulty of the task motivated Hulin to further understand what these engravings said. He decided to do everything he could to decipher the inscriptions and determine when the castle was built.
