Zhangye Danxia Mountains, Gansu Province, China

Zhangye Danxia Geopark is located in the province of Gansu, in northwest China. It offers an unparalleled geological landscape. In its area of 510 square kilometers, you can see mountains extraordinary colors, usually several hundred meters high. They are striped by parallel bands of red, yellow, green, and blue, like if their surface had been brushed with giant colored pencils.

The hue of this rocky kaleidoscope changes depending on the time of day. It is the result of the combined efforts of the elements and of time. The surface is made up of a series of sandstones and various minerals, which overlapped more than 20 million years ago. Besides the surprising colors, the site also offers various shapes sculpted by erosion.

Fields during tulip season in the Netherlands

The Netherlands benefit from long springs and cool nights, an ideal country for cultivation of tulips. The soil in the pol field is continuously drained. This creates ideal conditions for tulip bulbs (well-drained but moist soil).

From mid-March to the end of May, most of the Netherlands has become a colorful patchwork. If you see blooming tulips in the Netherlands in April, no matter where you look, you will see fields full of beautiful colors.

Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan

Perhaps you have never heard of this large flowered park, or you have at least seen the photos. Hitachi Park is a pure marvel. Since Hitachi’s hundreds of acres of land have many flowers that bloom every season, you can witness different major events:

  • From mid-April to the end of April, 170 kinds of tulips are supplied;
  • From the end of April to mid-May, there are 4.5 (!) Millions of Haemophilus bacteria (blue);
  • Cokia cypress (red) from late September to mid-October.

Hitachi Park drains the world every year to see its beautiful colorful flowers.

Antelope Canyon, Arizona, United Kingdom s

There is no doubt that Antelope Canyon is one of Arizona’s most beautiful wonders and a must-see when visiting the western United States. This place is very photogenic and attracts image lovers from all over the world. This place is one of a kind and worth a visit. Even during the high season, visiting Antelope Canyon does not require any special organization. It draws crowds so you have to do the visit at a time when it is quieter because the location is getting so touristy.

First of all, you should know that Antelope Canyon consists of two canyons: Lower Canyon and Upper Canyon. The canyon is owned by the Navajo Indians. These are narrow rock faults, natural cracks, formed over time. It’s hard to go to Antelope Canyon because this place is huge. The upper and lower floors face each other and are separated by Legend Highway 98 near Page, Arizona. Antelope Canyon is usually visited before or after visiting the legendary Grand Canyon within 200 kilometers. The two sites are very different, so two tours (if you have the time) are highly recommended!
